Framing System and Hanging Apparatus

When we started doing some of our own framing for smaller exhibitions we encountered several challenges. First, we needed to have really robust and resilient frames. Second, we had to have frames that would allow us to change art in and out easily. Third, the frames needed to work both horizontally and vertically. And, fourth, we needed a hanging system that would allow us to hang our pieces flat against the wall.

When we surveyed the frame and gear market we couldn’t find any of these things. We then turned to local North Carolina artisans for the answers. Now we have solid cherry frames featuring “splined” joinery in the most often used museum sizes as well as a totally unique hanging system. The good news is that today we can offer you both our frames and our hanging system at very reasonable prices.

Each closed corner frame is joined with two wooden splines for maximum strength. A wooden brace swiveling  on the hardboard backing  fits into slots  on the inside of each frame. This unique fitting system allows for the glass and art  work to be easily changed out without  using staples or clamps.
